|
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Partners with client groups to develop and/or administer HR initiatives with focus in the following areas: organizational design, development and change, leadership development, employee orientation/training/development, compensation and benefits, talent management including talent acquisition, retention and performance management principles, workplace laws and regulations, workforce planning, communications, employee relations and policies/legal requirements. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participates in the
process of Talent Acquisition for client groups by interviewing candidates
and providing recommendation for hire.
• Provides guidance to
employees on routine HR related questions including benefits, compensation,
policy and procedure questions and assist employees with making changes such
as direct deposit, address changes, beneficiary changes, via myMedtronic.
• Assist in developing
salary structure and/or conduct special compensation studies. Present salary
programs to managers and Group leaders. Monitor salary expenses to budget.
Discuss appropriate salary treatment and flexible approaches with line
management and assist in implementation. • Evaluate exempt and non-exempt
level jobs and advise managers on issues regarding job evaluation. Assist
managers in developing job descriptions.
• Consult with
management to resolve employee relations issues. Identify internal and/or
external resources to assist in addressing specific HR issues; counsel
managers or employees as appropriate. Address issues consistent with
Medtronic policies/practices, legal considerations, etc. Participate in
organization assessment and assist in preparing organization development
plan.
• Consult with
managers/group leaders, teams and employees on training and development
needs, assess and identify group and /or individual development needs. Assist
in developing strategies and or needs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION REQUIRED • B.S./B.A. YEARS OF
EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years of human
resources experience with a BS/BA; minimum one year with a MS/MA
• Experience in
staffing, job evaluation, salary or benefits administration, and employee
relations
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• Employment, Employee
Development, Organizational Design & Development, Performance Management,
Reward Management, Communication & Employee relations and Policies, Legal
Requirements.
• Influence, team
effectiveness, innovation, risk taking, measurement systems, problem solving
and conflict management.
• Solid knowledge of
applicable state and federal employment laws, Equal Employment Opportunity
